I’m a fast-talking freelance film and television critic and editor. A recovering academic, I have a PhD in sci-fi and fantasy film and literature from the University of Arkansas that I blame on watching Star Trek at an impressionable age.

I have been writing film and television criticism since 2022 for MovieJawn, TheWrap, and other outlets. Because of my immense curiosity and bisexuality, my specialties are diverse: sci-fi, fantasy, animation, gothic monsters, kaiju, John Woo, LGBTQIA+, and Star Trek. I also find joy in assisting writers in both the developmental and proofreading stages of their reviews and features as associate editor for MovieJawn, a role I’ve held since 2024. When I’m not writing or editing, I host Pay Attention, 007, a podcast about the James Bond franchise.
